In the heart of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, the Espellos building, part of the San Caetano administrative complex, underwent a significant transformation in 2023. Led by Díaz y Díaz Arquitectos in collaboration with MIBA Architects, the renovation project focused on enhancing energy efficiency and modernizing the building’s appearance while preserving its historical context.

Originally constructed in 1985, the Espellos building stands out with its unique configuration, featuring both trapezoidal and rectangular floor plans across different levels.
