Introduction
Situated on 53 Hang Chuoi Street in Hanoi, Vietnam, the Crystal Restaurant is a stunning creation by NH Village Architects. Renovated from a long, tube-shaped house, this restaurant specializes in offering high-quality Japanese grilled beef dishes. Lead architects Tran Dai Nghia and Nguyen Phuong Hieu envisioned a space that seamlessly integrates crystal lights with the surrounding landscape, exuding elegance and sophistication.
Exterior Design
The exterior of the restaurant is characterized by multi-faceted glass windows, inspired by the facets of crystal blocks. These windows are strategically positioned to offer guests a panoramic view of the landscape while creating an ever-changing indoor experience. Guests are welcomed into the restaurant through a garden shaded by a majestic tree, leading to a reflecting pool where they can observe the activity in the kitchen through large windows.
Interior Layout
The interior of the restaurant is designed to maximize the play of light and space. On the first floor, the common dining area extends seamlessly to the outdoors through the multi-faceted glass windows, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside. The second floor features dining rooms with curved glass brick walls, creating a mesmerizing interplay of light and texture. Custom-made rough-textured glass doors add to the unified aesthetic.
Private Dining Experience
The third floor is dedicated to private dining rooms, offering an intimate and exclusive experience for guests. Golden silk fabric-pressed glass walls provide privacy while maintaining an airy ambiance. Elliptical crystal lamps adorn the private dining rooms, casting a warm glow and adding a touch of luxury. Locally fired ceramic tiles with a rough yet shiny surface are used throughout the floors, complementing the gloss of glass bricks and crystals in the interior.
Conclusion
With its innovative design and meticulous attention to detail, the Crystal Restaurant is a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship of NH Village Architects. By blending modern aesthetics with natural elements, they have created a space that delights the senses and elevates the dining experience to new heights.
