Introduction

From November 15, 2023, to January 30, 2024, Manar Abu Dhabi will cast a luminous spotlight on the archipelagos and mangroves of the UAE capital. This exhibition, curated by Reem Fadda and Alia Zaal Lootah, under the theme “Grounding Light,” showcases a collection of site-specific light sculptures, projections, and immersive artworks by local and international artists, offering a transformative experience for residents and visitors alike.

Celebrating Natural Beauty

The inaugural edition of Manar Abu Dhabi celebrates the emirate’s natural beauty, inviting audiences to rediscover Abu Dhabi’s coastal areas through a new lens. Artworks will be strategically placed across key locations, including islands such as Lulu, Saadiyat, Jubail, Al Samaliyah, and Fahid, as well as coastal areas like Corniche Road and the Eastern mangroves.
